I don't know how many of you are familiar with Chromosome1, Deletion of the long arm. Without your long arm Chromosme you just don't grow like everyone else does, My 5 year old granddaughter suffers from that. Something that the doctors don't even no much about. She will be 6 years old in Jan, but she still wears clothes for an 18 month old child. She weighs 21 pounds and is 30 inches long. She is Hypoglisemic, and she takes a growth shot every day and a pill to go along with it. She is still cutting teeth, and she talks mostly with sign language, Because she can only say about 10 words at the most, but she understands everything you say to her.She in a special school because she still wears pampers, and doesn't chew her food well. There was only 7 people with Chromosome1 when she was born in 2002, We can't find any support groups so we wing it the best way we can, because they don't no how long she will live. Her feet are really small so she has a hard time walking sometime. She wears and infant shoe size 5.
