Controversial, Unconventional, Unorthodox, even Unusual healing methods I've come across in the past 35 years of research on HEALTH and DISEASE. I'll start with "A" and then continue on to "Z," then SWITCH to NUMBERS. If you have a health issues you wanna see on the list, lemme know--and I'll post info I have on it.
There need be only one simple rule when it comes to eating FRUITS and VEGETABLES: just make sure they are WATER or OIL-BASED such as WATERMELONS, TANGERINES, MANGOES; or vegetables like CUCUMBERS, AVOCADOS, SQUASH. Stick with the water/oil as a RULE of THUMB and that way your food selections will be more ALKALINE than ACID.
Also invest in a JUICER because Juicing is still one of the best ways to get MULTIPLE VITAMINS/MINERALS into your bloodstream. And it is because of the failure to supply the BLOODSTREAM with the NUTRIENTS we need that is the reason for 99% of the problems with having DISEASE. A BLENDER is a good alternative too. Say, like a VITAMIX.
Other vegetables and fruits like ONIONS, GARLIC or LEMONS and LIMES can be eaten less sparingly and saved more for MEDICINAL reasons such as BLOOD CLEANSING or VIRAL medication. And even though some fruits and vegetables are HYBRIDS (Oranges, Kiwi, Lemons, Carrots, etc)--they have their place when it comes to healing. All HYBRIDS are NOT bad.
In fact, some like LEMONS or PLUMS are incomparable when for healing AILMENTS. For example, the SEED in a plum can be crushed and used to INCREASE your WHITE BLOOD CELL count. That is NOT too bad for a so-called HYBRID (I don't care what nobody says). Having said that the HYBRIDS we do want to decrease in our EATING PLANS are the ones that do NOT have SEED/NUT (like certain GRAPES, BANANAS). That which has life produces life--and that is the preferred hybrid. That is the best way to distinguish which hybrid to eat or not to eat.
Now, in general it is better to eat FRUITS than VEGETABLES and this is mostly in terms of BLOOD SUGAR and BIO-AVAILABILITY (which is simply how quickly and well a food is ASSIMILATED into your bloodstream--a CRITICAL step).
Fruits balance the blood sugar better than vegetables. After a big SALAD, you will often find that you want something SWEET. The reason for that is those GREENS depress the INSULIN levels and as the body adjusts you get that craving. Whereas FRUITS are SUGAR (FRUCTOSE) and so address the Insulin levels automatically as you eat them. There is more of an automatic adjustment with fruits. They also have more water which you need as you consume food.
NOTE: In general, FRUITS are NUTRITIONAL and VEGETABLES are MEDICINAL (altho they can be eaten, obviously, as part of a BALANCED food plan).
And that brings me to say this: Contrary to popular theory, you NEED to DRINK when you eat, especially, FRUITS and VEGS. The thing is, you should squeeze LEMON or LIME juice into your DISTILLED WATER which acts as a BALANCED ELECTROLYTE for the food you are eating. Just do NOT drink a WHOLE LOT as you are eating....or another strategy is to drink about 15 minutes AFTER you are finished eating.
